If you’re going to be in Las Vegas soon, I recommend playing slots at Venetian. But you want to be able to find the best slots to play at Venetian when you visit.
Megabucks, Wheel of Fortune, and Buffalo Gold are the best slots games at Venetian. But you can also find good slots value entering one of the Venetian’s $50,000 slots tournaments. You can find a big list of slot machines in Las Vegas here, too.
With over 1,800 slot machines, Venetian has plenty of good slot machines. But just like every casino on the Strip in Las Vegas, Venetian also has some machines you want to avoid. Here’s info about the best slot machines at Venetian and about the worst slots games too:

Megabucks $10,000,000 Plus Progressive Slots at Venetian
Many Las Vegas casinos offer Megabucks slots. And Venetian has offered Megabucks for almost as long as this popular slot machine game has been around.
With a progressive jackpot starting at $10,000,000 and simple game play, I rate it as the best slot machine in the Venetian.
The Megabucks series now has different variations including a five reel game in the series. But I still prefer the original three reel Megabucks game when I play. With only one pay line, the three reel Megabucks machines are easy to play and give you a chance at winning $10,000,000 or more on every spin.
Michael Bluejay suggests Megabucks as a good option for trying to win a million dollars on his website. He points out that your odds of winning a million dollars in the lottery are better, but you can also see smaller-but-still-large wins sometimes.
Wheel of Fortune Progressive Slots Series at Venetian
I don’t know if the Megabucks series of slots games or the Wheel of Fortune series of slots games are more popular. But what I do know is I enjoy playing both series, and Venetian offers them.

Wheel of Fortune slot machines are modeled after the Wheel of Fortune television series. And some of the Wheel of Fortune slot machines use an actual wheel built into the machine.
Different Wheel of Fortune slot machines are tied into different progressive jackpots. So take a quick look at the jackpot amounts on different Wheel of Fortune slots at Venetian to pick the one you want to take a chance on.
Take at least a few spins on a Megabucks and Wheel of Fortune machine every time you visit Venetian. You never know when one lucky spin can change your financial life.
Venetian Buffalo Zone Buffalo Gold Slot Machines
The Buffalo series of slot machines are available in every major casino that can get them. Slots players love the Buffalo series, and Venetian offers Buffalo zones in the casino.
I recommend Buffalo Gold at Venetian, but you can find all of your favorite Buffalo slot machines. The Buffalo zone can be found right beside the Dorsey Cocktail Bar in the Venetian.
Buffalo Gold slots use 1024 ways to win technology and a progressive jackpot. 1024 ways is similar to 243 ways slots but bigger.
88 Fortunes SHFL Slot Machines
Available on the main Venetian slots floor and in the high limit slots areas, 88 Fortunes draws slot players of all kinds. Manufactured by SHFL, formerly Shuffle Master, 88 Fortunes slots use Reel Ways technology and 243 ways to win.
88 Fortunes uses Chinese artwork and offers four progressive jackpots. When you trigger the Fu Bat jackpot round you choose from 12 Chinese lucky coins to see how much you win.
I’m biased towards SHFL games because I remember them from the old day. So when I see one of their games I always give it a try. You won’t be disappointed when you try 88 Fortunes slots at Venetian.

Venetian Average Slot Machine Returns
Nevada collects and publishes reports on slot machine win percentages. The win percentage reported basically shows the house edge for slot machines. You can determine the return to player or RTP for slots games by subtracting the house edge from 100%. The reports are broken down by slot machine denomination.
However, the reports aren’t as helpful as they could be because Nevada doesn’t break out the statistics by casino. But you can still learn a lot about the best slot machines in the state, including the slot machines at Venetian.
The following statistics are current at the date of publication of this post. But you can always find the current numbers by visiting the Nevada statistics page.
Nevada Casinos by the Numbers
Nevada casinos have the following number of slots games at each denomination. The numbers are rounded and change from month to month.
- Multi denomination – 61,000 machines
- Penny slots – 48,000 machines
- Nickel slots – 1,000 machines
- Quarter slots – 3,500 machines
- Dollar slots – 6,500 machines
- $5 slots – 700 machines
And here are the average win percentages for each denomination:
- Multi denomination – 6.04%
- Penny slots – 9.9%
- Nickel slots – 5.1%
- Quarter slots – 8.09%
- Dollar slots – 6.68%
- $5 slots – 5.62%
Surprisingly, the nickel slots offer the best overall returns in Nevada. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also offer the best return at the Venetian. But you can also see that nickel slots aren’t as widely available as most other denominations.
If you don’t know the best slot game to play at Venetian, see if you can find a nickel slots machine. And unless you can afford to play $5 slots, a multi denomination slot machine comes in second on the list.
Also, don’t miss the numbers for penny slot machines. While many slots players love playing penny slots and there are 48,000 penny slots in Nevada, the house edge comes in at almost 10%. So if you don’t know anything else about the loosest slots at Venetian, you need to stop playing penny slots.
Top Venetian High Limit Slots
Venetian offers two high limit slots salons. If you look at the Venetian property map, they’re at location 121 and location 146.
High limit slots areas are usually where the best slot machines are found. And Venetian high limit slots salons have some of the best slots games in the casino if you can afford to play them.
The Venetian high limit slots areas have over 100 slot machines, including 88 Fortunes machines I covered earlier. The high limit areas offer a less crowded and more relaxed area for slots players. The high limit areas also have couches, a lounge, and LED televisions so you can request to watch whatever you want, including major sporting events, while playing.
You can even request certain slot machines when you play in the Venetian high limit slots parlors. Venetian offers four slots parlors within the slots salons, each with four slots games and a 55 inch LED television and couch.
If you’re a high roller slots player, you need to visit the Venetian high limit slots salons when you’re in Las Vegas.
Don’t Forget the $50,000 Slots Tournaments at Venetian
I enjoy playing individual slot machines and being able to switch machines at will. But when I’m on a budget I look for slots tournaments. And Venetian runs at least one $50,000 slots tournament every month.
You have to join their rewards club, called Grazie Rewards, to play in one of their slots tournaments. But entering Grazie Rewards doesn’t cost anything and you should be a member even if you don’t play in the slot machine tournaments.
Entry to the Venetian $50,000 slots tournament costs $200. While $200 might sound like a lot, how often do you drop $200 or more playing slots? I don’t know about you, but sometimes it seems like I drop $200 in no time.
The reasons I like slots tournaments are the possibility of finishing in the money and the opportunity to lock in a minimum amount of slot machine play. So if you’re on a fixed budget and want a chance to win big, consider the Venetian slots tournaments.
Venetian slots tournaments use Spinferno slot machines.
Are Venetian Slots Better Than other Las Vegas Casino Slots?
Venetian slots hold their own with other big slots casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. But they aren’t better than most. Of course, they’re not worse than most either.
Overall, I recommend playing slots at Venetian. But you can get pretty much the same experience and enjoy the same top slots games at all the largest casinos on the Strip in Las Vegas.
If you’re planning to visit several casinos in Las Vegas, put Venetian on your list. But Venetian slots aren’t so much better than other slots on the strip that I recommend them above other casinos.
Conclusion
Venetian in Las Vegas offers all of the most popular slots games in the city. But the most popular slot machines aren’t always the best. But now you know the best slots to play at Venetian when you visit.
While I recommend 88 Fortunes, the Buffalo slots series, the Wheel of Fortune series, and Megabucks, if you want to get the most bang for your buck at Venetian, check out one of their $50,000 slots tournaments.
And if you play high limit slots, I consider Venetian a must-visit anytime you’re in Las Vegas. They know how to take care of high roller slots players.
Denise Raipe says
The hospitality service at the Venetian has not been very good this trip. I asked about 3 Venetian employees’ where the Crazy Money Slots were, and they kept just pointing in a direction instead of telling us exactly where the machines were. We were playing the slots and must have asked about 10 different Venetian employees how we could get a drink. I was up walking around, and I had to keep asking Venetian staff until finally someone brought me to the bar and directed the bar-tender to give my husband and I a drink. I thought the Venetian had STOPPED giving out drinks. We always tip the waitress for all of our drinks. We are here for my husband’s birthday, and I asked for any specials or upgrades for his birthday – we were offered none. The room does not have microwaves or coffee pots. I consider the Venetian upscale however, based on their hospitality and lack of service or upgrades or promotions for Christmas we will try another hotel next time.
