Play Monopoly Online – Real Money Monopoly Games

If you’re interested in real money Monopoly games, check out my page about Monopoly slot machines.

Monopoly is a very popular board game that can be played with 2 to 4 players. The goal of the game is to buy properties, get monopolies of the different colors and build enough that you bankrupt everyone else. You win the game by being the only one with money at the end. This game can involve strategy to be able to end up on top.

History of Monopoly

The game, Monopoly, has a bit of a murky history. It can be traced back to 1904 when Elizabeth Phillips created a game called “The Landlord’s Game” that she tried to use to explain the single tax theory of Henry George. This game was released in 1924. In 1941, the British Secret Service used this game to smuggle items to Nazi prisoners of war to help them escape.

This early history of the game, Monopoly, was ignored in the 1970’s, and the game that is still popular today was released by Parker Brothers. There is a myth that this game was created only by Charles Darrow, who sold the right to Parker Brothers. The game was, in fact, a variation of “The Landlord’s Game” and when it became popular, there were several lawsuits that came about.

Monopoly is a game that continues to be popular to this day, with many different versions available. The board game version is still played, but there are ways to play this game on the internet as well.

How to Play Monopoly

When you play a game of Monopoly, no matter if you play with an actual board game or online, you will have 2 to 4 players. You will pick your tokens and give out the starting amount of money. Then everyone will roll to determine the order that each person will go. When it comes to your turn, you will roll the dice, and then move the number of spaces that you rolled. You can buy property as you go around the board, but if someone else owns it you will have to pay rent when you land on that property.

You are trying to get all the properties in each color grouping. Once you do that, you can build houses and then hotels. If you have a house or hotel on your property, you will get more money when another player lands on it. If you run out of money, you can mortgage your properties to get more money. If you completely run out of money, you are out of the game. Whoever is the last one standing with money and property is the winner.

Chances are you won’t be able to buy all the properties in a color group, so you will need to trade with other players to form monopolies. How this is done can depend greatly on who you are playing with. Many people also have house rules that they use when they play Monopoly, so it is a good idea to talk about the rules before you start playing.

Play Monopoly Online for Real Money

If you are good at outmaneuvering your fellow players and find that you are able to win at the game of Monopoly quite a bit, you may want to think about playing for real money. There are a variety of websites that will allow you to play against other players where the winner gets a money prize. This can be a fun way to spend time and get money as well.

There are many variations of Monopoly, so you will want to play some practice games on the website of your choice. Usually these games aren’t full ones, and can sometimes not really resemble the original game of Monopoly except for having the name in their title.

By trying the practice games, you can see if it is a game that you wish to try and play in a tournament for real money. If you find that you are doing well and winning the practice games, this means you will probably be able to win the real games as well. Playing Monopoly for real money is a great way use your free time to play a game that is fun and enjoyable, but still be able to make some money at the same time.

One of the strategies that people use when playing Monopoly is to buy every property they can get their hands on. This can require mortgaging properties once you get into the game, but it can possibly give you a monopoly just by landing on it. It will also give you a lot of properties to barter with if you are going to propose a trade with another player. This strategy does have its issues, as it can often leave you with not enough money to build once you have a monopoly. You have to be careful to not give someone with lots of money the advantage; otherwise you will be on the road to being bankrupt.

The opposite strategy is to not buy a lot of properties, but let you money build up. Every player gets $200 when passing Go, so you can build up a decent amount of money if you don’t go into a buying frenzy at the beginning of the game. This can allow you to have plenty of money to request a trade with a player who is running extremely low on cash. This is a fairly sound strategy, but can backfire if someone gets a monopoly and builds it up before you can get some property.

These are just a few of the strategies when playing Monopoly. You will figure out what works best for you as you play. You will need to think quickly, though, and be able to adjust your strategy depending on the people you are playing with. Monopoly is a very fun board game that can be played at home or online. You can play it for fun or enter into tournaments to play for the chance to win real money.
