The 7 Best Aristocrat Slot Machines in 2026 (Ranked List)

This post describes and reviews the 7 best Aristocrat slot machines in 2022.

Before we get into any details about the games, here’s my list of the best 7 Aristocrat slots for 2022:

1. Bao Zhu Zhao Fu
2. Big Fish Grand
3. Buffalo Ascension
4. Cashman Kingdom
5. Dune
6. Farmville Golden Harvest
7. Lightning Dollar Link

I chose these seven slot games based on a few criteria.

First, to make this list, a game has to be popular. I base a game’s popularity on how many people I see playing it in the casino. I also lurk in a few slot gambler forums and have a general sense of a game’s popularity that way.

My 7 picks are also all relatively new games, because novelty is such a big deal for us slots players.

Finally, I picked 7 games that I have actually played and have enjoyed playing. What good is a fancy new Aristocrat slot if it isn’t any fun to play?

You won’t find a lot of technical analysis here. I didn’t spend much time worrying about dollar slots vs. penny slots or anything like that. This review is all about entertainment value.

I’ll start with a little bit of history about the company before digging deep into the 7 best Aristocrat slots I’ve played in 2022.

About Aristocrat

Aristocrat Leisure Limited was founded in the early 50s. Len Ainsworth inherited his father’s dental supply company and hoped to boost revenue by building a few “poker machines,” the Aussie slang phrase for slot machines.

What began as a side hustle soon grew into his company’s main revenue stream.

These days, Aristocrat is licensed in more than 200 different gambling jurisdictions.

Aristocrat is a huge name in the gambling industry. They operate in more than 90 countries worldwide. Aristocrat is the leading slot machine designer in Australia, and a top-three provider of slot games in the massive US market. Globally, Aristocrat is the second-biggest slot designer and manufacturer in the world.

The company’s latest venture is a move into the mobile gambling industry. Reportedly, Aristocrat will launch its own online casino business before the end of 2022. Watch this space for reviews of Aristocrat’s first mobile slots.

The 7 Best Aristocrat Slots to Play in 2022

Here are my short reviews of my favorite 7 Aristocrat slots for 2022.

The reviews are designed to give you just enough information to be interested in trying the games for yourself.

For my money, these are the best slot games Aristocrat has to offer in 2022.

I’ve listed the reviews alphabetically.

1. Bao Zhu Zhao Fu

This is part of Aristocrat’s Asian Festival series. Asian-themed and Chinese-style slots are getting huge in the US, and Aristocrat’s Bao Zhu Zhao Fu is a great example.

Bao Zhu Zhao Fu, like the best Asian Festival style games, is loaded with features.

For starters, there’s the three main game features. The Ultra Spins feature boosts symbol values on the reels randomly during Hold & Spin play. In Double Up, you’re allowed to play two different Hold & Spin games at the same time. The counter in the Extra Spins feature temporarily increases to a 4-3-2-1 setup.

The game also has a three-tier progressive system for big jackpots and two large, fixed bonus prizes for players that don’t want to chase a progressive payout.

Bao Zhu Zhao Fu is a great entry-level game for people new to the more frantic pace of Asian-style slots.

2. Big Fish Grand

Big Fish Grand is one of those slots that captures your attention just because of the case. It’s got this massive, curved screen with all sorts of LEDs and other attention-grabbing features. It’s big, loud, and proud, like the best Aristocrat slots.

Big Fish Grand is an ultra-modern slot, but in a lot of ways it has the feel of an old-school game. The Wheel Bonus is about as simple as it gets. When you land a Wheel Bonus symbol on an active line, you get one spin of the bonus wheel. If you land three symbols, you get three spins. I like it, plain and simple.

The bonus wheel is really where it’s all at in this game. It pays instant credit prizes, leads to the game’s progressive jackpots, and pays out the game’s free spins in chunks of 10, 12, 15, and 20.

Another old-school feature: you can gamble on any win. It’s a virtual coin flip – pick heads or tails, and if you pick right, you’ll double your winnings.

I like the fishing theme – it’s well incorporated and the animations are gorgeous.

This slot is perfect for people who want to try a new Aristocrat slot that has more old-fashioned slot features.

I guess you could say it’s a great Boomer slot.

3. Buffalo Ascension

Buffalo Ascension is Aristocrat’s latest entry into the Buffalo series.

It’s also the first persistent reel growth slot I’ve ever played. If you’ve never seen a slot with this feature, you should check it out. The reels grow, adding symbols and increasing your chances of big wins, as you play.

Buffalo Ascension also includes a Wild Reels feature in which some reels can randomly grow to seven rows high.

Buffalo slots are all about the stampede. In this game, Buffalo Ascension, there are two different stampedes (a standard one and one called Super) that change one or three symbols into the game’s Buffalo wild symbol. These are triggered randomly. They add a nice surprise element to the game.

Like most Aristocrat slots, there’s a progressive jackpot system.

I can think of 18 different Buffalo games just sitting here without even Googling it. It’s a bulky series and there’s not always a lot of variation between the games.

But I think Buffalo Ascension is the first in a long time that really felt like a new kind of slot while I was playing it. A few new features, some new animations, and a new case made the game feel fresh.

4. Cashman Kingdom

Cashman Kingdom is the sequel to an Aristocrat favorite called Mr. Cashman. Mr. Cashman is pretty cute – he’s basically a smiley face on a coin wearing a top hat and gloves. Among Aristocrat fans, he’s beloved.

Cashman Kingdom introduces seven new Cashman characters to the mix. They’re not just there for cosmetics – each character has a unique function during Cashman Kingdom’s Hold & Spin feature. Your choice of which character to use has a real impact on how the game plays.

As a big fan of free spins, I appreciate the Free Games Feature on Cashman Kingdom. Reels 2-5 are loaded with stacked wilds during every free spin, which makes big wins during those free rounds more likely.

If you like Mr. Cashman, consider Cashman Kingdom an expansion of that original concept. You’ll have a blast picking different Cashman characters to use during free spins.

5. Dune

I admit it – I love anything and everything about Dune.

I’ve read (most of) the novels. Also, I’ve seen all the various movies and miniseries made over the years. Have I spent a few hours on Dune-related subreddits? Maybe, why, what do you know?

So, here’s a cool fact about the game – the Dune slot machine’s release was timed with the release of the movie. That’s cool, and I hope more licensed slot games time their release in a meaningful way in the future.

The game is fun as hell. It features tons of audio and video clips from the Dennis Villaneuve film. Aristocrat included four unique game features tied directly to the film’s mythos.

If you like wild multipliers and free spins, you’ll love Aristocrat’s Dune. The max multiplier is 1,680x, one of the largest in Aristocrat’s history.

Also, there’s a wide-area progressive jackpot.

My favorite bonus game was the Sandworm Feature. When you land the right number of scatter symbols on an active line, the reel set converts into a gigantic 8-reel format with stacking wilds and random cash jackpots.

You have to see and hear the licensed clips from the film to experience the sandworm’s emergence. It’s really well done.

6. Farmville Golden Harvest

I love seeing the hybridization of mobile games and slot machines.

Farmville (and other mobile games like it) have always seemed like a natural fit for a slot machine. The original Aristocrat Farmville slot was popular because of the way it incorporated elements of the game into the slot machine.

Aristocrat’s new Farmville game, called Farmville Golden Harvest, ups the ante on that original release.

Really, all they’ve done is to add a multiplier system, a new way to win free games, and a wide-area progressive jackpot to their original Farmville slot.

To me, it’s a huge upgrade.

If you’ve never played Farmville, understand that it’s all about making choices. Which crop to grow, which fertilizer to use, etc. In this new version of the Farmville slot, you’re often asked to make choices. Do you want to play a Match 3 Pick’em style bonus and chase free spins, or an interactive Crack the Eggs bonus that pays out instant credit prizes?

The original slot’s Jackpot Wheel is still here. I love wheel bonuses on slots, and Aristocrat knows that. I enjoy spinning for jackpots and free plays. It appeals to something in the gambler in me.

7. Lightning Dollar Link

Lightning Dollar Link is the latest entry into Aristocrat’s massively popular Lightning Link series.

It’s really four slots in one, each with a different story and different game features.

You can choose from Checkered Flag (a racing themed game), Chica Bonita, Corrida de Toros (a bullfighting themed slot), and Kung Fu Master.

The biggest upgrades in this version, besides the four new slot games, are added denominations, increased betting options, and new free spin features on all four subtitles.

Aristocrat drew inspiration for their new betting options from their own library. Lightning Dollar Link has the same line counts and bet options as games in the Dragon Link series.

I like that the progressive mechanic is the same across all four of the games. All you need to do is land 15 bonus symbols during any of the Hold & Spin features and the Grand Progressive jackpot is yours.

My favorite of the four games is Checkered Flag. I mostly like it because of the Reveal symbols during free spins. These symbols are covered up at first, and when you click to reveal them, they might be wild, scatter, or a regular game symbol.

It’s small touches like that that make Lightning Link one of the most entertaining slot series in the world. This new entry raises the stakes and adds a few new wrinkles. Fans of Lightning Link should check it out.

Conclusion

I promise you – play these seven Aristocrat slots and you’ll find something you like.

I worked hard to include a variety of different games and slot features.

These are, by far, the best seven slots Aristocrat has to offer in 2022.
