Lottery Tickets - 7 Secrets of Professional Lottery Players (The Real Facts)

Do you know people who you think are professional lottery players? Or anyone who claims to be a pro? Do you dream about learning the secrets that you can use to play lottery games professionally?

I have some bad news. While some people might appear to be professional lottery players and some might claim to be pros, once you learn the facts you can see that you can’t make a profit playing lottery games. The same is true of professional slots players — they don’t exist.

Here are 7 secrets of professional lottery players to expose the facts. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you can be a lottery pro because it’s going to cost you dearly.

1 – Professional Lottery Players Use a Strict Budget

Some people can gamble professionally. They can play certain games in special ways to make a profit. But you’re not going to find anyone who can play lottery games and make a profit.

Professional gamblers (and even many recreational gamblers, like slot machine players) use a strict budget or bankroll. While you should also use a strict budget when you play lottery games, you’re not using your budget to make a profit. Instead, you’re using a strict budget to make sure you don’t lose more money than you can afford to lose.

The reason you can’t use any magic tricks with your budget to help you become a professional lottery player is that the numbers are stacked against you. And the numbers are more stacked against you than in most other forms of gambling.

In the next 2 sections, you’re going to learn exactly why you can’t be a lottery pro. Once you see how bad the numbers are stacked against you, hopefully, you can accept that lottery games should be viewed as entertainment and not investments.

2 – They Don’t Understand the Lottery Edge

Anyone who thinks they’re a lottery professional doesn’t understand the lottery edge. In casino games, smart gamblers know that each game has a house edge. The house edge is the percentage of money the casino accepts as bets that the casino makes as a profit.

3

Ignition Casino150% up to $3000

4

Cafe Casino250% up to $1500

5

BetUS Casino200% up to $3000

The lottery edge works the same way. Each lottery game has an edge that guarantees the lottery commission makes a profit. And the edge for lottery games is higher than the edge for casino games.

For example, the house edge on an average slot machine is around 10%.

The edge on a lottery game can be as high as 50% to 75%.

The way lottery games work is each type of game has a set percentage that the commission pays out and a set percentage the commission keeps as a profit. And nothing you do can change the lottery edge.

For example, if the lottery commission sets the edge on a game at 50%, the commission tracks all of the money they collect selling tickets and pays out 50% of the money.

You need to completely understand how the lottery edge works. If it’s still not clear, you need to spend more time learning about the edge for individual lottery games. Once again, nothing you do can or will change the edge of lottery games and this is why you can’t survive financially as a lottery professional.

3 – They Don’t Understand Expected Value

Expected value is a way to predict how much money you will win or lose gambling. You can determine the expected value of every bet you make playing a lottery game using a simple formula.

The formula for expected value is the total amount of money you risk times the return percentage. Then subtract the answer from the first step of the formula from the amount you risk to see how much you can expect to lose.

For example, if you’re playing a lottery game with a 45% edge, the return percentage is 55%. You determine the return percentage by subtracting the lottery edge from 100%. 100% minus the 45% edge gives you the return of 55%.

If you buy $100 worth of tickets for this lottery game you multiply $100 times 55%. You find that you receive $55 back. Subtract the $55 return from the $100 you spent and you’re expected value is a loss of $45.

Notice that there’s no formula to show an expected value that ends up with you making a profit playing lottery games. The reason why there’s no expected value showing a profit is that there are no lottery games that can provide a profitable expected value.

You can read more about the expected return formula as applied to the lottery here.

4 – They Use Systems

People who think they’re professional lottery players all believe they have a system that can beat lottery games. They might have developed a system they use or they might have bought a system from a snake oil salesman.

Do you understand why there isn’t a system you can use to make money playing lottery games? If you understand the information you learned in the last 2 sections, you know why no system will work.

How can you change the lottery edge? Can you use money management skills or mathematical skills to change the lottery edge?

The answer is no because the lottery commission collects the money and pays out a set percentage. You can’t use any trick or tactic to change this fact.

Professional lottery players also sometimes think that you can spot signs you’ll win the lottery.

5 – Emotional Control

Using emotional control is about the only thing you can use in a good way that professional lottery players use.

Using emotional control means not letting anything that happens change the way you play the lottery. If you’re losing too much money, you can’t afford to get emotional and bet more money trying to make up for your losses.

And if you get lucky and win you can’t get emotional and think you’re system works. You have to focus on facts and leave emotions behind. Using emotional control will help you play the lottery and in most other areas of your life.

6 – Professional Lottery Players Don’t Play the Odds

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot or a PowerBall jackpot are around 300 million to 1. The odds of winning any prize in 1 of these lottery games are around 25 to 1. And the cheapest ticket you can buy to these games is $2.

Do you see the problem with these numbers?

To win a prize, you have to buy $50 worth of tickets to have the right odds. But most prizes are under $10, so even when you do win a prize you’re losing money.

The odds of winning are better on some lottery games, but even if the odds are 10 to 1 for a $1 ticket, you still can’t win enough to make a profit.

The odds come into play in the lottery edge and expected value that you learned about earlier. The fact is that you can’t make a profit playing the lottery because you can never play with the odds in your favor.

7 – Are Professional Lottery Players Real?

Everything you’ve learned in this post might lead you to believe that professional lottery play is possible.

But the truth is you can’t be a professional lottery player. Or at least, you can’t be a professional lottery player unless you have a lot of money.

The way most people define the word professional, especially in gambling terms, is someone who makes money or makes a living gambling. You can’t make a living playing the lottery.

The expected value and lottery edge are too big to play as a professional. And there are no systems that work well enough to make playing lottery games profitable.

If you have a job where you make a lot of money or have inherited a lot of money, you can act like you’re a professional lottery player. But all you’re doing is using money from somewhere else to play the lottery, just like everyone else that plays the lottery.

The only way to make a profit from the lottery is by being 1 of the few people lucky enough to win a huge jackpot. With odds around 300 million to 1 against winning a big jackpot on Mega Millions or PowerBall, you’re never going to get that lucky.

If you make the mistake of fooling yourself into believing you can be a professional lottery player, the odds are that you’re going to end up broke. And if you’re not careful, you could lose everything. Don’t quit your day job with the mistaken belief that you can make a living playing lottery games.

You’re no more likely to make a living from the lottery than you are to make a living playing slot machines. Your unbeatable craps system probably doesn’t work, either.

Conclusion

The myth of a professional lottery player sounds interesting, but when you learn the truth, you see that professional lottery players don’t exist. Sure, some people play the lottery like they’re a pro, but they’re losing more than they win, just like everyone else that plays lottery games.

Notice that in each section in this post, nothing points to profitably playing lottery games. You can act like a pro, but it doesn’t change the facts.

The real secret of professional lottery players is they don’t exist. You don’t have to stop playing lottery games, but you need to forget about the myth of being a professional lottery player. That path only leads to financial ruin and pain.

Not (entirely) true. 1 out of every 300 million people who set out to become a professional lottery player DO actually become one. If you know what I mean.

There’s such a thing as a lottery player
    But a professional lottery Player
I don’t know because if you try to
Fix a system to lottery numbers
All you get is that the numbers are random
And it hard to figure out what numbers
To choose. There is no secret. You can try
But remember the numbers are random.
It would be very hard to predict what numbers
    Are going to be chosen.
So once again, you can have an occupation
As being a lottery player as long as you got a job to back you up. You need a source of income. And play one or three tickets a week
But remember the number’s are random
If you try to figure out a formula all you get is random nonsense. Not even scientific research
Couldn’t figure it out. Because there are so many combinations of numbers that could actually make the lottery drawings.
And if you choose quick pick there’s a chance t
You may hit but once again you never know.

To be a professional at something means earning your income from it. If you need another source of income, you are, by definition, not a professional lottery player.

To become a professional lottery Player
You would have to hire 5 or more people
To join in on playing the lottery and share the profits
Then and only then could you call your self
    A professional lottery Player

Other than that if you play the lottery 2-3 times a week your considered a lottery player

This doesn’t make any sense. Why would you need to hire 5 or more people?

In my opinion the lottery isn’t considered gambling.
The lottery is a game that’s played like monopoly.
So if you confused about this
Just remembered the lottery is just a game.

Whether it’s gambling or not isn’t a matter of opinion. “Gambling” has a definition. It means risking something in the hopes of winning something — you pay for lottery tickets, and you have a chance of winning money. That, by definition, is gambling. The Monopoly analogy is terrible, by the way — it’s a board game played for fun. If you put money on the line during a game of Monopoly, it becomes a gambling game.

I’m not confused about how the lottery works, but it seems like you might be.
