If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas, spend at least a little time playing slots at the Mirage. Here are the seven best slot machines to play at Mirage.

1. Happy and Prosperous Dragon Link
2. Buffalo Grand
3. Wheel of Fortune
4. Megabucks
5. Cash Wheel Quick Hit
6. Triple the Thrill Divine Diamonds
7. Video Poker

If that’s all you want to know, copy this list and take it with you.

But if you want deeper coverage about each of these slot machines and other options, I’ve done a complete review below.

Top 7 Mirage Slots Games

The Mirage offers over 2,000 slot machines in the 90,548 square feet casino gaming area. Located on the famous Las Vegas Strip, the Mirage might be best known for the fountains between the casino and the street.

My wife and I spent some time watching the fountains on our last trip to Las Vegas and I recommend them. While you can find fountains all over the world, the fountain show at Mirage won’t be soon forgotten.

As for the best slots games at the Mirage, the following sections cover the top seven. Don’t skip number seven because it might be the best option (if you keep an open mind).

1 – Happy and Prosperous Dragon Link Progressive Slot Machines

Dragon Link slot machines, manufactured by Aristocrat, are popular in every casino they’re found. Dragon Link machines are combined or linked in a bank of slot machines. Four different slots games can be used in the slots bank, including:

• Happy and Prosperous
• Panda Magic
• Autumn Moon
• Golden Century

While all four of these slot machines are popular, I recommend Happy and Prosperous when you play at the Mirage.

Happy and Prosperous Dragon Link looks like a lot of other slot machines. The game uses five reels and three rows. Happy and Prosperous has 50 pay lines and a progressive jackpot.

2 – Buffalo Grand Touch Screen Curved Display Slots

Buffalo Grand slot machines don’t look like old-fashioned slots games. They use a huge 42 inch curved touch screen display, so they’re easy to see when you walk the Mirage casino floor.

But the way Buffalo Grand slot machines look isn’t the only reason why I recommend playing. Instead of traditional pay lines, Buffalo Grand slots use the 1,024 ways to win system. And while these machines use reels and rows like most slots games, they use a different setup than most.

Buffalo Grand slot machines use five reels like a lot of slots games. But the first and fifth reels have four rows and the middle three reels use five rows.

The five progressive jackpots available on the Buffalo Grand slot are the main reason I include this machine in the top seven at Mirage.

3 – The Game Show Turned Slot Machine Wheel of Fortune Series

To be 100% transparent, I recommend playing at least one of the Wheel of Fortune slot machine series in every casino where you find it. If you’ve played Wheel of Fortune slots before, you know why I include it here. And if you haven’t played yet, you’re in for a slot machine treat.

Of course, Wheel of Fortune started as a wildly popular game show. But the slot machine that came from the game show might be just as popular as the game show.

Wheel of Fortune slot machines use a wheel just like the game show. And when you win a spin on the wheel you have a chance to win big money.

Notice in the title for this section I include the word “series”. Many different variations of Wheel of Fortune slot machines are available. And I haven’t played any of the slots in the series and been disappointed yet.

4 – The World Famous Megabucks

If you haven’t heard about Megabucks slot machines you probably haven’t played slots for long. Megabucks might be the most popular slot machine in history.

A Megabucks slot machine holds the record for the largest slots jackpot in Las Vegas history. In 2003, a lucky Megabucks gambler won $39.7 million at the Excalibur Casino.

Megabucks machines are manufactured by IGT and available in many casinos in Las Vegas. But if you stop in the Mirage, you have to take at least a few spins to see if you win the big progressive jackpot.

While some casinos carry the five reel version of Megabucks, the three reel single pay line version remains the favorite option for many lot players. Spins cost $1 per coin and you can bet one to three coins per spin.

5 – Cash Wheel Quick Hit – The Fifth Game in the Quick Hit Series

You won’t find Cash Wheel Quick Hit on many top slots lists. But for some reason, I love this game, so I had to include it on the top Mirage slots list.

Manufactured by Bally, Cash Wheel Quick Hit follows Quick Hit, Quick Hit Black Gold, Quick Hit Las Vegas, and Quick Hit Pro in this popular series of slot machines.

Quick Hit Cash Wheel slots use a standard five reels and three rows display and offers 25 pay lines. The game offers a progressive jackpot, wild symbols, and scatter symbols.

I think the main reasons why I like Cash Wheel Quick Hit are the retro feel of the symbols combined with modern features and the progressive jackpot.

6 – Triple the Thrill Divine Diamonds – The New Popular Slots Game

Triple the Thrill Divine Diamonds might be one of the newest slot machines on the Mirage casino floor, but it stacks up well with all of the other slot machines I recommend above.

Slot machines using a diamond theme aren’t new. So if you enjoy any of the older diamond themed slots games, you have to try Triple the Thrill Divine Diamonds when you visit the Mirage.

You can trigger the heart connection feature by landing at least three red or diamond heart scatter symbols. The top prizes are minor, major, grand, and heart bonuses. You collect divine reel spins as you play, and free bonus games are launched after collecting six heart symbols.

7 – Mirage Video Poker Machines Might Be Your Best Option

I know you didn’t expect to find anything about video poker on a list of the seven best slots games at the Mirage. But stick with me for a minute and you’re going to see why video poker might be a better machine option if you play slots.

When I compare slot machine games I use the return to player percentages and house edge. On average, video poker machines offer a lower house edge than slot machines. And some video poker games offer returns of over 99%.

In comparison, the best slot machine games top out at 96% to 98% returns. And most slots games sit at 95% and lower.

So if you’re playing in the Mirage, consider the video poker machines instead of the slots games.

Nickel Slots Games at the Mirage

Nevada publishes casino returns and statistics. And in their reports, they list slot machine games. While the numbers aren’t broken down by individual casino, you can learn a great deal about slots.

Over the last 12 months, the slot machines with the lowest house edge have been nickel machines. In Nevada, nickel slots have an overall house edge of 5.1% and a return of 94.9%.

If you’re looking for the best slot machine at the Mirage and don’t know anything else, look for a nickel slot game.

As a point of reference, penny slots held a 9.9% house edge and 90.1% return over the last 12 months in Nevada. So avoiding penny slots in the Mirage might be a good idea.

Mirage High Roller Slot Machines

From the same report I linked to in the last section, I looked up the numbers for high roller slots. Again, these are statewide numbers and not specific to the Mirage. But the Mirage numbers likely fall in line with the state average.

$5 slot machines over the previous 12 months had a house edge of 5.62% and a return of 94.38%.

$1 slot machines over the previous 12 months had a house edge of 6.68% and a return of 93.32%.

Conclusion – The Best Slot Machines to Play at the Mirage

Try each of the slots games on my list of the seven best slot machines to play at the Mirage. But your list of top slots might not be the same as mine.

The seventh spot on my list is the most important. But it only works if you have an open mind. But if you follow my advice, you play with a lower house edge and higher return than other slots players.

Overall, nickel slots offer the best returns at the Mirage, and penny slots have the worst return. So even if you don’t like my list, skip the penny slots and play nickel slots when you visit the Mirage.
